SEO Services New York- How Important is The Title of Your Website?

It's always interesting after working a few years in a niche, you see how much it has evolved with time. And nothing (in my opinion) has evolved more than the Search Engines. Maybe five years ago, we could more easily place our website and our client's website higher in the listings of the major search engines, but things have changed and so the competition.

The Search Engines found new ways to avoid being "manipulated" by practices from some webmasters, and changed (and keep changing every week) the way to rank the websites. Besides all the changes from the search engines, we also have the success of the internet which brought more competition. So, I ask myself..."What practices from the past still work today? The first answer is "TITLE TAG"!

How important is to have the title of your web page changed? Very important my friend. Why? Because the search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing-Msn) will be able to identify what is your business is about from the get going, placing you in a specific niche...your niche!

Let's say you want to take MMA classes. Do you know any gym by name that has MMA classes as part of their curriculum? If you do, great. But for the majority of the people, the solution would be to going online and type the general keyword term "MMA classes" in the search box.

In case your business teaches MMA classes, the questions now are "will the search engines be able to identify my website with a MMA classes curriculum ? "Am I promoting more my services or the name of my Company?" Yes, when you type the name of your company you are on the first page, but what do you sell? what are your services?

Let's go back to MMA classes (you can use your own products and services as example ), type it into the search box...do you see your website on the first page now? The answer more likely to come up is...no! Do you get it now?

Unfortunately, this is a very common mistake made by business owners who have a website. Some people still believe that by simply creating a website the traffic naturally will come. I am really sorry for breaking down this for you, but it doesn't work that way anymore (if ever did).

Other very interesting detail for you, be sure to name the web page according to the keywords you want THAT PAGE to rank high for! One thing to remember...search engines rank PAGES not WEBSITES! If you need any help placing your website at the top of rankings, please, let me know and I will help you to get it on the first page of Google, Yahoo and Bing.
