Relax: here are three incredibly simple tips to get you going in article marketing. Make affiliate marketing work through publishing--- the right way! 1. Siamese twins. The first job is... write an article. ("Duh, no kidding", you say.) No seriously, this is the hard part, at least for some of you. But trust me, the more you do it, the easier it gets. The first articles you write might not be too terrific. In fact, they might be terrible. But don't worry: the best article writers started out poorly, and just persisted. Now, write another version of your article. Different words, but same message and same keywords. It takes two similar articles to do what is coming next. Don't overdo it. Just go through your article paragraph by paragraph and edit lightly. You need two versions so as to make Google and other search engines happy. They just hate to see the same thing published and re-published over and over again. Do you think this is just too much work? It's up to you. Have you decided you really want to make affiliate marketing work for you? Your decision! 2. Now start at the top. Start off by publishing in the top article directories. The reason you do this is for visibility. The five or six top article directories are high traffic sites. They are where your article will get noticed... and read. An affiliate reseller has to stay competitive. If you are not thinking of the competition... your competitor is! So decide you want your article to GET READ. Ezinearticles is, by far, the largest and most popular article directory in the English language. Don't question their status. They are elephantine in proportion to other directories. So... get your article there first. Where else? Who else is among the top ranked group? No one answer to that, I am afraid--- ranking shifts over time. I'd join the top dozen or so and use the best ones at any given time. Publish version one here as well. 3. And now down the food chain. Version two is now ready to be rolled out. You did write it, didn't you? If not, do so now! This second version goes to the next twenty highest ranked article directories, not to be read (because it probably won't get easily seen) but to get backlinks. You see, Google loves keywords and backlinks. Good, well researched keywords get your articles found and read in the top article directories. Backlinks from low ranking directories get your website ranked by Google and other SE's because your articles are carrying links to your website. You need both. No choice about this. Let's recap: Write version one of our article, then version two. Write as well as you can, and keep at your writing-- it will improve with practice. (An affiliate reseller can only expect success through persistence!) Version one goes to EZA and the next five or so top ranked directories. Version two goes to the next twenty lower ranking article sites. Repeat this process on a regular basis, at least weekly. This will really make affiliate marketing work for you, believe me.
